The village of Spittalfield lies on the A984 to the East of Dunkeld. Approaching from Perth on the A9 leave the main road by bearing left at Bankfoot. Pass the Bankfoot services on your right. Take the next right turn just after the thirty mile an hour sign, signposted Murthly/Caputh follow this road for about two miles to the end and then turn left onto the B9099 towards Murthly. Once in Murthly keep following the road through the village down the hill, then cross the river Tay and into the village of Caputh. At the junction at the top of the hill turn right following signs for Glendelvine school and Blairgowrie A984. Shortly pass the school on the right hand side and go down the hill towards Spittalfield. On entering the village a couple of hundred meters past the thirty mile an hour sign, take a right turn down an unmarked farm road, (Please drive slowly down the track and be aware it can get a bit bumpy during the winter months). Pass a big wheelie bin on the right and follow the track for about a mile until you come to Easter Caputh farmhouse, drive through the farmyard and follow the track round to the left of the house, turn left again over a cattlegrid with a beware of bull sign and follow the track for another half a mile right to the end, where you will come to Inchtuthill Cottage and Inchtuthill Coach House. Parking for the Coach House is on the left hand side on a hard standing. Follow the footpath up to the property.
